Riyadh, February 20, 2024 – Alat, an innovative new company focused on transforming global industries (electronics and industrials) in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, today announced a strategic partnership with the Saudi Technology and Security Comprehensive Control Company, known as Tahakom, a national leading company that provides innovative AI-enabled solutions in the fields of smart mobility and public safety, to enhance innovations within smart mobility and intelligent city solutions.

Alat, a PIF company launched on February 1 by His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Alat, has been established to create a global business in electronics and advanced industrials and mandated to create world class manufacturing enabled by global innovation and technology leadership. Tahakom, which already delivers Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) and cutting-edge safety solutions powered by Artificial Intelligence (Al), will partner with Alat on combining their financial resources and technical capabilities to expedite the advancement of distinctive innovations within smart mobility and intelligent cities solutions, with focus on road and public safety – in alignment with Saudi Arabia Vision 2030.

This partnership will see both companies collaborating on solution designs, product specifications and leveraging R&D and innovation functions, as well as building technology roadmaps and cultivating both client and vendor relationships with a view to maximize operational and business efficiency. Finally, both companies will cooperate and support technology enablement, testing labs and demo centers.
